Upgrade

Completed my contact in December, paid by direct debit every month. Still paying for usage but can't upgrade even though I have a high credit rating

I think this how to be the worse…

I think this how to be one of the worse customer service experience I have had from any company and I wouldn’t give a star. They are so unhelpful and would recommend everyone to stay away. Am in the process of taking the matter further with themselves

Poor customer service and handset

I recently got contacted by a rep from Tesco about upgrading my phone. I told him that as I only am on £75 a week I could not afford it but he said, after asking details about my present phone that it could be free. I declined an Alcatel and a Huawei. At that moment I owned a Motorola G5 which has a deteriorating charging socket. He said that the Motorola E6 Play was available and that it would have a far better battery life. I have been suffering from anxiety, stress, depression, poor sleep and even suicidal thoughts for some time but I was persuaded this would be a beneficial move. More fool me.When the phone arrived, due to my mental state it sat there for a while, not to mention there were no instructions on how to transfer data across and the local Tesco mobile shop were no help.Eventually everything was done though, after having to endure what seemed like hours of updates to the system software This phone to be frank is utter junk. Trying to use Facebook messenger group video chat is impossible as the app won't work properly with constant pop ups, sound and video distortion. The phone is painfully slow, which for a new handset is unacceptable, my old G5 felt more up to date and fit for purpose. The battery life is horrific and drains extremely quickly even with light use.I contacted Tesco four or five times by phone in one day, one time putting the phone down because I was frustratingly getting nowhere. I was told I would have to send my phone in for repair leaving me without a handset for 7 to 10 days. Despite this I mentioned I was just plain not happy with the handset itself. I have since seen numerous negative reviews, not just random people but dedicated sites and one of the many negative points continually brought up is the pitiful battery life.Tesco however have stayed the only option is an early upgrade that would cost me £130, so almost twice what I get in a week, and a rather curt email from Tesco states they always provide handsets fit for use. I wouldn't call a brand new one that drains in a few hours fit for use and this particular handset, the E6 Play is in my opinion, junk.My experience with Tesco customer service has not been at all productive or for the most part friendly.

Getting my PAC

Getting my PAC. Tesco mobile, I have verified that i am over 18s and the content are over 18s. Then after a week later the locks is back ON again. I truly think you're messing around with your customers. And this is the third time i need to verify my age. Your company is so B.S. not only that., Also the dumbest company i ever used, log in my tesco online account which i need a 4 digit pin then a few pages that im not a fuc#king bot, first the the hydrants then the cars and the buses and the traffic lights then the hills, the list goes on and on. My bank doesn't require this much sh! T to log-in.

Slow, disorganised and cumbersome

My telephone broke down and the Tesco website said 'simple, just get a jiffy bag and label from us and send it back and we'll repair it.' When I phoned customer service to tell them there is no way to order the bag and label online they told me that it was some sort of mistake and that I would have to go to the Tesco Mobile shop. I spent 30 minutes there while my phone was examined and answering a lot of questions only to be told that the shop would need to order the bag from customer service and it and the label would be sent to me by post. I gained the clear impression that this would be a process taking 10 days.Ten days have now passed and I HAVEN'T GOT THE BAG YET. Meantime I have been loaned a push-button phone which seems designed for a 10 year old and am doubtless still paying for something entirely different.Everybody I have spoken to has been very 'nice' but what I want is my 'phone or a replacement. The prospects appear to be getting more and more remote

Very good phone company

Very good phone company, been with them for 3 years and glad to have a reliable phone company who are always helpful, only fault they have is a limited number of handsets to choose from when renewal is due.

Very good, consistent, on the ball and excellent customer service

I'm not a Tesco Mobile user but posting this on behalf of my parents who both are and I've assisted them in dealing with their mobile accounts.I ported my father in a year ago and my mother two years ago and I'm impressed by the whole experience, both had come from Vodafone who's systems and services had let them down.PAC'ing in was easy and was all done via text message, I believe I had to make one phone call due to a problem mid-port but the phone was picked up within 4 rings (even though the hold information said I could be waiting far longer!)Data speeds are consistently fast, voice calls are very clear and both of them have had no issues with poor signal, and when there is they can still text or call (which is there main usage case)The Tesco Mobile app is easy for them to use and clear about billing and it's good value for money considering they are low usage customers.Any customer service queries have been professional courteous and polite, so far I don't think they've spent longer than 5 minutes on the phone with them but we've had no major issues.I accept they are a "virtual" provider so are linked to the O2 network, I believe the provider maybe part owned by O2 although this may of changed. So for a low usage case, I like the tariffs, app, coverage (O2's network) and the service, my only main moan is the quirkiness of the voicemail system which takes a few minutes of getting used ton but I'm nitpicking. Thanks Tesco for giving my parents a consistent mobile service.

Disgusted

I assumed that handsets I bought in store came unlocked by default (as is the case with literally any other retailers), however, this was not the case. Then when I tried to utilise their unlock service I was given the wrong unlock code a total of 6 times so I had to wait 3 weeks ... but 3 weeks passed and they have not got in touch with me again plus when I have contacted them since there has been no response whatsoever. Disgusting.

I just want a simple answer

Tesco call centre are awful....I'm trying get a simple question answered but they do not understand what I'm asking!! I want to upgrade during the black friday deals, but not activate the phone till christmas day as it's a present for my son. I only want to know if I can wait till christmas day before using the phone and use the old one in the meantime, but cant get a response. I'm thinking of going elsewhere as I want him to get his gift. tesco call centre have said it will have to be activated the day I have it.....but then his old phone will stop working, so that defeats the object....Grrrr...why so hard to get a sensible response.
